Hi, I’m Caryn, and I’m glad you’re here.
Clients often come to me feeling shut-down, stuck, and powerless.
Many have been to therapy before and some even have a few coping skills to help them get through the day, but they are tired of just surviving. My clients initially tell me—with confidence!—they are "too difficult," "too sensitive," or "too much;” “not enough,” “not understood,” and “not appreciated.”
My training in existential-humanistic orientations and emotionally-focused approaches means I have the expertise needed to support you in deepening your understanding of yourself and addressing how past hurt or current negative narratives about yourself impact how you show up with others.

Group and Relational Therapies
Would you like to learn more about your relational patterns, get practice giving and receiving in-the-moment feedback, and improve your relationship with yourself and with others? Group therapy might be right for you!

Would you describe yourself as an over-thinker? Or maybe a perfectionist? Constant racing thoughts and worry about the unknown future is exhausting! I enjoy working with my clients on identifying and understanding underlying fears and worries so they can shift their approach to anxiety.

Who we are, how we identify, and how others perceive us all affect how we move through this world.
I have a wealth of experience working with the following populations, and more: Queer/TGNC, Disabled and Chronically Ill people, folks with disordered eating behaviors, grown adults of migrants/1st-gen adults, and Fat folks.

Couples Therapy
Even the most loving and dedicated relationships require continual upkeep in order to reap the rewards of trust, vulnerability, and intimacy. I utilize EFT, an evidenced-based and humanistic approach to couples therapy which can support you and your partner(s) slow down your processes, identify core triggers and defense mechanisms, and experience new ways of communicating with and connecting to one another.

Bring your curiosity and openness as we collaborate to identify your main concerns and desired outcomes.
